Sound Design for Games
By the end of the sessions participants will be able to:
Define ‘sound design’ in the context of media production.
Describe the topic of music production and its applications.
Analyse ideas from multiple perspectives to develop a comprehensive understanding.
Create unique sounds using sound design principles.
Develop customised arrangements using design principles.
Identify the essential elements required in music production.
Apply sound design principles in a virtual environment.
Integrate various elements to develop a coherent world.
Evaluate and modify content to suit a specific audience.

Participants will attend a series of 10 x 2-hour sessions that will focus on the following :
Introduction to Audio and FX Units (Data storage and File Types)
Transposing, Fades, Automations, and Editing
Spatial Sounds (Utility, Reverbs, Widening, and Stereo Enhancements)
EQ and Ear Training
Layering & Processing
Conceptualizing Sounds
Mixing (Using Sends, Compression)
Looping & Arrangement
Exporting and Labelling
The Industry & Tools of the Trade (FMOD, Unity, Programming Basics)
